It Has Begun
Over the past two years, something has been looming in the back of my mind. Something that will start a new chapter in my life and something that I will have to plan for months on end. After two years of being engaged, my fiance and I are finally getting married on February 14th, 2016.
I didn’t start sooner because other priorities got in the way such as school, getting a job, moving and getting our finances in order. But with the date approaching, I have to start planning.
I’ve tried several times to start planning, but I kept feeling overwhelmed and stressed because I am concerned that our finances will not line up. I had plans then switched the plans and switched them again. Until this Saturday, my mother was looking up venues and showed me this conservatory. A giant green house filled with greenery. I always wanted an outdoor wedding, but I also wanted to get married in February in the middle of winter. So, could this be a perfect compromise?
I was looking at the event section of the conservatory’s website and I saw this room.
I’m totally getting married here. Once I saw this, everything opened up. My mind cleared. I went the next day to check it out and I put a deposit down on it yesterday morning.
Planning a wedding still overwhelms me and I haven’t been sleeping good the past few nights. I have so much on my brain and I’m thinking about everything that I can’t fall asleep. I will have to do something about that.
So, it has begun. I already have the date, time, guest list, ceremony venue and support. I can’t wait to start the rest of the list!
Any tips on how to sleep during wedding planning?
